answering more questions nobody asked
Haven't done one of these in a while and love answering less common questions, so here we are! Some are self made, most are found in articles or memes.
How much of your art do you post online vs keeping it to yourself?
I post 98% of my artwork. The primary reason for that is my OC content. I use character community sites, forums and my website for my content that I create. 2% are other things, not oc related or practices/studies. On social media however like 8% nowadays, because I rarely post or even use these sites in the first place.
Something you're good at but not really have fun doing?
faces. I don't really feel anything when I draw them honestly unless I get to mess around with different expressions than just a boring happy mood.
Something your art has been compared to that you where not inspired by?
Disney. I exclusively get inspired by other independed artists. I was actually inspired by animated 3D movies back then (2014-2021ish). Think HTTYD, Arlo & Spot etc. which are not present in any of my current artwork and style and I'm a bit confused about the comparison at times, but I feel like people associate literally any stylised semi realistic expressive style with disney lol. old vs new. I'm not upset by this btw, I just don't see it.
What piece of yours do you think is underrated?
I'll brutally honest, my refsheets and pretty much any human artwork that is more than a headshot. I get animals are lovable beings, I like them too, but any artwork where human characters are present is automatically ignored. Aka pretty much anything I enjoy most. orz
I've spend a lot of time on this

same here and Im proud of the anatomy and built. He is not an easy character for the halfway decent artist. Karly is generally a very ignored oc.

This one's also a favorite. not the most fancy but I dig the vibe

Do you use different layer modes?
no, I used to. Nowadays I paint on regular layers. No multiply, no add, no burn. I rarely do if I want to achive a certain effect, but most of the time I`m fond of the neutral, real look. I also started to hate the look and feel of layer modes. It ALWAYS looks the same. Every artist using them has a same look to it, especially the shading. I can't unsee it D:
Do you suffer from same face syndrome?
Not really, but I do suffer from giving males more interesting features in comparison to females. Most of my female characters just don't have them and I imagine them in certain ways. Yell at my brain, not me lmao
What are you working on right now?
Whatever the hell this is

and a comm! (that I sketched while having some kind of art block. look at those messy lines good lord)

What's something you know you can draw even if you haven't yet?
- [insert any animal here]. Some might remember the species challange I did.
- city from above. I can def. pull that off with references, or even from imagination with a grid.
- certain hairstyles/textures
- babies (probably lol)
