Summary time! I almost forgot to make this year's art summary. ops. I'll keep myself short in this one & talk a little about my progress and thoughts.
Really hard to pick the image I want to show for each month... but I had to go with something eventually
2025 had lots of ups and downs tbh, but it ended rather positive. I noticed a lot of visual, technical improvement and developed a much greater artstyle! It started around July, artfight month. I picked up a textured brush more that eventually became my primary drawing tool. I can now paint comfortably in a way I never did before with very minimal layer amounts too. Shrinking down tools is a GOOD thing, trust me.
I ended up doing many of the things I wrote in my old 2024 post. For example more perspective and moving on from too much headshot art. I didn't even force myself that much, I had quite a lot of fun drawing difficult things with and without refs.
My goals for 2026 are minimal, other than working on improving as usual. I am slowly getting to a point where I find my art and knowledge to be quite solid. At least in terms of what I want to achieve at the moment.
BUUUUUUUT, comics. srs. I need to start making some, its getting ridicious at this point. Huh I guess it ain't too bad, given how shitty my art was the past few years in comparion. At least for comics, its not a style I would have liked, and everything took too long to draw too. Yes, thats part of the reason why I didn't start any.
