Flora has grown a lot, and even gets flowers now. How awesome. She also gets quite leggy and falls over which idk what to do yet. Maybe a plastic stick to hold her. I will have to order some, I only have wood sticks which will very likely rot.

The improvement makes me tear up lmao. I cut down the peacock fern a little after taking the pic because it has taken over too much for the 47590398th time.
The moth from the last update ended up escaping through the little hole. I am sure she is no longer with us by now. RIP

A little visitor appeared! Cutie.. little moth. She's resting on my frog figure now. Too wholesome not to take photos off. I had noticed this little guy about 2 days a go and let her stay in there. She is always flying around. I will probably keep her, her lifespan is about 2 weeks!

Out of all the terrariums Flora is still the one which seems to have the most movement. Jewel orchid grew more and the fern is taking over again now. Also added some color with Fittonia albivenis.
Moss turned slighly brown on one side of the tarrarium. Which I believe has something to do with light conditions. The other half is also more coved by the fern on top and is in more 'shade' because of it. I now try get better conditions for it to become green again. The other half used to turn brown a well and recovered fully since the fern grew so much on top. The now brown half is completely exposed to the air.

Flora all green and nice!

Always a blast to write a little update of my terrarium! Flora is doing great. Please ignore the brown moss in there. That's a chunk of old mood moss which I still need to replace (if it gets worse).
Had to (or well, I wanted to) purchase new things again. Turns out, the moss I had before kinda sucks (mood moss) and is turning brown/light and molding real bad no matter what I do. So instead, I just got regular pillow moss. I had this type of moss in my other rebuilt terrarium before and had zero issues with that. (well until the whole thing was sunburnt, but that was my fault entirely)
I also have a new plant in it too, a ficus (Ficus scandens). It's really pretty!
And because I have mold issues, I got some springtails. tinyyyy insects. They do a fantastic job and eat dead plants and the fungus. I don't have mold anymore at all 10/10. and yes you can keep them in an "open" terrarium. nobody escapes. they don't even want to. My terraium isn't fully open though, I have the glass on top of course, just not for this photo lol.
What happended to the little philodendron? dead :(

Smol update on Flora. In my previous update was more of her left. I had to cut more stem because stem rot built up right in the middle :/ That actually happened right after I took the last pic. Today everything is fine. No rot, new leaves. I also decorated a little more. (Don´t mind Lui sitting in the background there).
The blue fern is taking over, I might have to cut it eventually haha. Flora (the other little plant with the same name I had listed seperate here, a golden philodendron) is now ALSO in this terrarium. It will be the very last try I give her. If she won`t grow and die, I will say goodbye. Almost a year of not doing anything nor improving no matter the effort is long enough for me. I'm kinda done 💀

What happend? What´s going on?
You might notice something is different. And yes you are right. Flora has an entirely new terrarium. Even the glass is new. Why? Okay so a couple things.
First, the glass (terrarium) had a pretty big crack for nearly 2 weeks so I wanted to replace it. It just cracked out of nowhere lol I haven´t done anything. It´s the same type, but new. Next, the moss is gone, it got worse and lost even more green. It just looked awful. So I got new moss (but a different kind) which I placed inside along with a pretty blue fern (was not planned but I found it and feel in love lol). Next, the substrate, is also completely new. Substrate for cacti (basically looks like very light, regular dirt) and mixed it with some orchid bark. Now also has a drainage layer at the bottom consisting of these little clay balls as well as activated carbon pellets (to avoid mold/too much water). I didn´t had any serious issues with that in the previous prebuilt setup but I felt like its best to have it this time.
You might also noticed that not a single open leaf is left. And yes that´s right. I cut off everything. The brown on the leaves got worse and even built some mold-ish stuff. I just wanted to get that stuff out. But Flora still has new leaves growing atm, which are healthy. (might not be very visible on the photo tho, they are tiny, growing out of the ground). Fungus also started building up on the stem where I cut a leave in the past, which I now treated with H2O2. Which helped a ton. No fungus came back since 3 days (it usually came back in under 24h. That shit is quick)
Btw yes, I´m very aware it´s due to too high humidity that fungus built up. We unfortunately have too much moisture in the air atm, it´s raining constantly. But it was also simply infected due to heat stroke. Since I treated it, it did not come back., even in very high humidity now. Flora also has a new place, it´s on my windowsill. Before that she was in the living room. Let´s see how she will do here but it looks pretty promising.

OH HELL. Flora was hit by a heatstroke.... I got that feedback from multiple Redditors at least and I also couldn´t tell what else it could be. Sun was on her glass as well which I noticed too late. Not only Flora but also her moss. Look at it, it´s so sad and colorless. BUT can you see that? Green color is still left! Mainly on the parts which were covered by leaves and moss around it. At the very bottom is also an even more, green little start of new life so I don´t think she will die. I will do my best to keep her alive and make her healthy again. I also cut off her old, huge very very damaged leaves. To give her engery for the new growth.
The amazing thing is she definitely has got new growth. When I got her, she only had 3 leaves (those 3 old leaves which are now gone). Which is why I have so much hope. She is definitely growing. Now.. I´m not too sure about the moss... but eventually it will "grow out" the damage. There is also still green on it so it´s not fully lost.

Flora is doing well. 5 new leaves are currently growing. Some also growing out of the soil. Which probably just means she was planted a little deep into the ground. Moss is looking fancy too. Even better compared to when I first got her.
Her leaves are looking a little funny tho. They´re growing down a lot. But she´s super strong, no weak leaves at all. But it kinda looks like she needs water because of this. Not quite sure what causes this, she gets much light from outside. hm I guess I just have a silly looking plant. that´s cool too.
